Come enjoy a gourmet catered lunch and a presentation on Jane Austen's last novel. In her final months, Austen began work on a new manuscript (now known as Sanditon), but died before finishing it. In my talk, I’ll offer an intimate look at Austen’s final work: the manuscript’s descent through generations of owners, the experience of reading its handwritten pages, the characters Austen left in suspended animation—and the challenges I met in crafting a story with them. The event will also include a booksigning, with books available for purchase.
